Paris Rive Gauche in the Evening

Paris Rive Gauche in the Evening

This is the southern riverbank of Paris, called Rive Gauche. The dome in the left part of the picture belongs to the Académie Française, an institution which has been watching over the French language for hundreds of years. In the Backstreets of San Marco

In the Backstreets of San Marco

Wow, we didn’t take good care of our website in the last few months :( From now on, we’ll try to establish a weekly schedule and maintain it – even though we didn’t have time for HDR lately, there are still lots of photos waiting to be processed!

Once again, this is one of the lesser-known idyllic parts of Venice, in one of the tiny backstreets of the central San Marco district. These two windows where particularly colorful and stood out from all the nuances of grey and brown around them. To anyone visiting Venice for a few days, I can only recommend strolling aimlessly through the smaller non-touristy alleys in the morning – you might turn around a bend and walk into a perfect photo spot like this!
