A Cannaregio Home
Venice is full of amazing textures! This is only a random Cannaregio home, no famous place, nothing… But still, there are so many typical Venetian elements in this picture! The stone mailbox. The elevated doorstep against the flood. The metal bars (upper left and middle), which literally hold those houses together. The omnipresence of decay, which doesn’t seem to bother the inhabitants. And – wait a minute! – the window has a different street number than the door? No idea if that’s Venetian, I’ve just discovered that while looking at the final image :)
And last but not least: look at these amazing textures!

Very nice images… I like them both. The texture of the wall is awesome.

Great shots. Oddly enough, what jumped out at me was the fact that the little mailbox (?) looks like it has an eye one it. And what an odd place for the doorknob too.

Thanks Kristi & Jason! Venice is so full of great perspective and scenery as well as small details, we still have lots of material… An incredible city!
